How to Make Your Resume Shine!

Hey fellow bloggers!.  In our communication  cluster we are going to be talking about resumes writing.
I searched the web to see if I could get some ideas on how to create a dazzling resume.
I found an article on the web page of eHow and I would love to share it with anyone who is interested.
The article is from the eHow website written by an eHow Contributor.

The article states that "you resume is a work-in-progress, and you will probably revise it dozens of time during your career." There is so much competition out there now, that you have to have "resume that shine"

eHow suggestions to make your resume shine:
1.  Gauge the relevance of your resume to your current career goals.

2.  Add, then highligh, action words such as "promoted" and "increased."

3.  Sprinkle your resume liberally with industry buzzwords to demonstrate your insider know-how.

4.  Tailor your previous job responsbilities within reason to best match the description of the position you  want.

5.   Use the active voide and bullet points to make infromation easier to digest. Steer clear of passive verbs.

6.   Fit your resume onto one page, no matter how extensive your experience.

7.   Choose stationery with a little personality. Or, if you are interested in high-technology fields, send your resume by email.

8.    Plan to send your resume so that it arrives at an opportune time.

9.   Leave lots of space on all four martins.
.
